As competition for the good life becomes stiffer, more and more men are learning to take care of their looks to gain self-confidence, stay competitive and get ahead of their game.  Gone are the days when they simply go for a monthly trim or haircut as their be-all and end-all grooming habit. 
At Zen medical spa, more than a third of our clients are men who come in to improve their looks as well as their well-being.  Most male clients avail of body massages, hair revitalization treatment, body sculpting or spot reduction programs.  Our male clientele are usually thirty-something and above. 
After a grueling day at work, men usually opt for an hour of body massage and relaxation.  Our highly-trained staff offers a combination of Swedish and shiatsu massage that relieves body aches, improves blood circulation and soothes both body and mind.  Before the session, we usually let them choose a scent from the various massage oils available.  
Another fave treatment for men is the hair revitalization program.  Hair loss can begin early in the 20s with visible thinning on the crown, temples and the forehead area.  One can lose hair due to genetics, stress, excessive sun exposure and malnutrition.  Men who wear hats everyday may also experience hair loss from possible fungal infection.  
To induce hair growth, the scalp area is stimulated naturally under the Derma point.  The Derma point utilizes acupuncture needles for that light needle tapping on the head or “nappage technique” that result to increased blood circulation.  This is coupled with hair mesotherapy that introduces nourishing minerals, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes into one hair stimulating solution.  To avert any discomfort, a local anesthesia is applied before the procedure. 
A hair revitalization program may include four to six treatments with weekly intervals.  For their home regimen, clients are given hair grower shampoos and an anti-bacterial, anti-allergy scalp creams.  We also recommend the Stem C-rum to promote growth and maturity of hair with growth hormones courtesy of the stem cell technology.   
For men’s flanks or love handles, the Resonax does the job of body sculpting or spot reduction.  This machine helps dissolve fat and promote collagen production to trim down and tighten up sagging skin.  Of course, men also undergo body analysis first to help them determine their goals.  With adherence to a healthier, active lifestyle, one can achieve one to two centimeters loss around the waist after a single session with Resonax.
